YEE-HAW! HORRORWOOD HITS TEXAS! AND IS THAT ISSUE 4 I SEE?!
The land of Chainsaw Massacres, the Alamo, and Presidents named Bush. Yep, Texas has been the home of some pretty frightening things. And now, they can add Horrorwood to the list. We're hopping a southbound flight on Thursday, and we'll be at Wizard World Texas in Dallas/Fort Worth all weekend. Should be a rollicking time. We'll be at the Ape Entertainment booth (number 716 for those coming to the show who want to search us out). If you're at the con, you'll get the opportunity to pick up the fourth and FINAL issue of Horrorwood! That's right, we'll have copies of 'Curtain Call', the balls to the wall, action-packed climax of our 50s murder extravaganza! And if you've forgotten what a kick ass cover the book has, here's a reminder for you...

Yeah, I know. It's a killer cover.
Also, as an added bonus, we're going to have copies of what we're calling the Horrorwood Shot List, a compilation of concept art and character studies we put together, so you can see what went into our little book. You can buy it separately, or get it when you pick up all four books in an exclusive WWT set.
Just before Halloween, that most glorious of holidays, Brent chatted with the Around Comics crew again, piping in his two cents about his favorite time of year, and the horror comics that influenced Horrorwood. So give a listen to Episode 52.
And last, but certainly not least, a winner has been chosen for the Broken Frontier Horrorwood pin-up challenge.
Congrats to Brian Gubicza, whose illustration of Manos will be featured in the back of issue 4. Of course, here's a sneak peek at it, as well. Brian's wasn't the only kick ass illustration we received. In fact we were so excited about the entries, we decided to showcase them all, and not just the runner-up's. So you can see the other illustrations in issue 4.
Well, I guess I have to get packing. Only a couple days left before we're in the air, off to the home of Leatherface, Davey Crockett, and G.W. We just have to remember one thing:

All the best,
B&B
